How long do I hold the button to initiate a call?
Hold the button for just 1 second to start a call.
Can I end a call manually?
Yes, press and hold the button for 6 seconds. This is for troubleshooting only—never during an emergency.
How do I charge the Mobile W?
Place the device face-up into the cradle. A red light means it's receiving power. The device will say “Charging” and flash red. Solid red means it's fully charged.
Is the Mobile W water-resistant?
Yes, it’s safe for the shower or outdoor use. It should not be submerged in water.
How does fall detection work?
It detects major falls like forward face-plants, backward falls, or collapsing to your knees. You can test it by dropping it gently into your hand and shaking.
What if fall detection isn’t working?
Place the device on the charger. In the Dealer Portal, turn fall detection off and sync, then turn it back on and sync again. Then test it again.
Can I change how I wear the device?
Yes! It comes with a wristband, but you can also use a lanyard or belt clip. The Mobile W uses 24mm quick-release bands.
How do I know the device is charging?
The call button light flashes red while charging. Once it’s fully charged, the light turns solid red.
“A true life saver. I signed up my mother for this service so she could be assured that she had a ‘safety net’ while living alone. … I am totally convinced without Vital Link she could have been on the ground possibly for hours before someone would have found her. 100% satisfied.”
